10. The fairground square 

The famous Dutch water- colour painter, Johan Bartold Jondkind, stayed in Nevers between 1870 and 1876. During that time he painted several water colour paintings representing views of our community : the fairground square, the main street, a countryside road, a farm. The oil painting you can see here is exhibited at the « PETIT PALAIS » in Paris.
